WHO ARE WE?

Blueshift Interactive is an independent game studio based in Nottingham, UK.
Founded in 2023 by Unreal Engine veterans, Luna Simpson & George Garton.

The team is proudly led by Luna, a trans non-binary person, bringing their lived experience and representation to the heart of the studio’s leadership – and by extension, our games.

We’re a hands-on cross-disciplinary team focused on building distinctive, technically ambitious games.
Whether developing an original title or collaborating with a client, we approach every project with care, a strong creative vision, and the technical expertise to back it up.

Nottingham is a home we’re proud of – a city buzzing with independent music, underground art, and a bustling skate culture. It’s a perfect environment to build our debut title.. X-GRAVITY – a gravity-defying skater packed with cosmic weirdos, crazy missions, and a whole load of attitude.

We make games with style & substance – no filler. The fearless energy of the PS2 era runs in our DNA.
Games like Jak & Daxter, Simpsons Hit & Run defined a generation, and they continue to inspire us.
We put gameplay first. Always.

OUR STORY

After years working in the AAA world, we, the founders, craved more creative freedom, more control, and more room for the weird & experimental ideas that we cared about.
We wanted to create games which we wanted to play ourselves; bold, expressive, more experimental, and maybe even a little unhinged.
Think PS2 cult-classics like The Simpsons Hit & Run and Jak & DaxterTHPS, and SSX – games with attitude, interesting worlds, and a focus on gameplay. That spirit is in our DNA.

We were already tinkering with few ideas in our spare time, including what would become X-GRAVITY. But it quickly become apparent; this isn’t a side project anymore. This was the project – the one that needed our full attention.

So we took the leap of faith in 2023, and formed our own independent studio.

Now we split our time between helping other teams bring their own visions to life, and working on pushing our own IP into players’ hands.

Blueshift is more than just a name, it’s a movement to bring creators & ideas together. It’s a catalyst – sparking bold collaborations, wild ideas, and impactful games.
And we’re just getting started.
